The Arizona community can support small businesses by buying gift cards, merchandise or ordering takeout. Purchasing gift cards gives businesses immediate revenue and allows consumers to cash in later.

Cardinals Takeout

The Arizona Cardinals launched Cardinals Takeout, a network of independent, locally owned restaurants offering carry-out service. The interactive map provides Arizonans with a convenient list of local restaurants to patronize and support. The site also provides a way for the Red Sea to suggest restaurants to be included.

Arizona Takeout Weeks 2020

The Arizona Restaurant Association launched Arizona Takeout Weeks 2020, encouraging the ordering of takeout from local restaurants. With this comprehensive list, you can discover a variety of Arizona restaurants providing curbside pickup or delivery options.

#SaveArizonaBusiness

A group of entrepreneurs based in Chandler has started #SaveArizonaBusiness, a grassroots initiative providing a platform for local businesses to generate more online traffic and awareness.

AZ Coronavirus Relief Fund

The AZ Coronavirus Relief Fund will provide financial support to organizations working to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 in Arizona. In addition to other important needs, the fund will assist nonprofit organizations that support the most vulnerable Arizonans through food banks, homeless shelters, domestic violence facilities and other services. The Arizona community may donate through Arizona Together.

AZSportsTogether

Arizona’s top sports organizations formed AZSportsTogether to raise funds for the AZ Coronavirus Relief Fund. Community members can buy raffle tickets to win one-of-a-kind sports experiences from each organization. Proceeds from the raffle with go to the AZ Coronavirus Relief Fund. Each package is listed on AZSportsTogether.com. Entries will be accepted through May 22.

Participating organizations include the Arizona Bowl, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Coyotes, Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona State Athletics, University of Arizona Athletics, Cactus Bowl, Cactus League, PlayStation® Fiesta Bowl, Grand Canyon University Athletics, Northern Arizona University Athletics, Phoenix Mercury, Phoenix Raceway, Phoenix Rising, Phoenix Suns, Scottsdale Charros and Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Arizona Gives

Arizona Gives, a program run by the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and Arizona Grantmakers Forum, is an annual event to connect people with causes they believe in. To support nonprofits that have lost significant amounts in critical funding, Arizona Gives created the Nonprofit Emergency Relief Fund, Arizonans can donate to a specific nonprofit or donate directly to the fund. 

As part of the Arizona Together initiative, Arizonans can find volunteer opportunities to support their at-risk Arizona neighbors. Community members can provide virtual support, deliver food and medication or help with daily tasks for people who live alone.

Donate Blood

Arizonans can donate blood, as blood banks are experiencing a severe shortage. You can schedule an appointment with the Red Cross or Vitalant to give blood. 

Volunteer at your Local Food Bank

You can also volunteer at your local food bank to help get food out to Arizonans in need. Visit St. Mary’s Food Bank to sign up for a volunteer time or donate to provide funds to buy essential supplies.

The state of Arizona is partnering with private sector health care providers and universities to ramp up access to testing.
